German graphic designer and photographer Jan Erik Waider repeatedly visited Greenland, Faroe Islands, Iceland and northern Scotland. There, he managed to make a lot of amazing shots.

Jan Erik Waider was born in Nuremberg and most of the time he spends there with his family. For the first time he saw floating blocks of ice in Greenland, Disko Bay, near the settlement of Ilulissat. Icebergs loomed in the distant mist; and the photographer was so startled by them, that he forgot about the time and cold. Then, Jan Erik decided that he should come back here. And he did come back, and not just once. The greatness and firmness of this ice blocks literally spellbound him.

Chatillon Car Graveyard in Belgium HUGOTHEMKLEIN08:30

Not far from the village of Chatillon, in the south of Belgium, in the middle of the woods is situated an impressive car graveyard. Its history dates back to the times of the Second World War. Previously, around that place were four graveyards.

In total, on these four long-term storages were more than 500 cars. Today, there is only one cemetery. It all started with the fact that when the war came to an end, all Americans left the military base. It is a mystery though how they became owners of such a big number of vehicles. The transportation over the ocean was too expensive, so the cars were just left there. Over time, the models that weren’t completely covered with rust ended at local residents and car collectors. And what is left you can contemplate in the following pictures.
